Productivity Timer ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website productivitytimer.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

We built Productivity Timer as a free tool. We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible while still providing a useful service.

Information We Collect

Information stored on your device

Our timer tool uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to save your preferences - things like your chosen timer durations, alarm sound selection, and volume settings. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Automatically collected information

When you visit our site, our web server may automatically log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visit. This is standard for virtually all websites and is used solely for maintaining site security and understanding general traffic patterns.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not require you to create an account
• We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal contact information
• We do not track your timer usage or productivity data
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties

Third-Party Services

Google Fonts

We load the Inter font from Google Fonts to display text on the site. When your browser requests this font, Google may receive your IP address. Google's privacy policy applies to this data collection. You can learn more at Google's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site - things like which pages are visited and how long people stay. For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), analytics only loads after you accept cookies through our consent banner. For visitors outside the EEA, analytics loads automatically. Cookies

Productivity Timer sets one first-party cookie (cookie_consent) for visitors in the European Economic Area. This cookie stores your choice to accept or decline analytics cookies and expires after one year. No other first-party cookies are set.

Third-party services we use (Google Analytics and Google Fonts) may set their own cookies according to their own privacy policies. Google Analytics cookies are only loaded for EEA visitors who accept cookies, or automatically for visitors outside the EEA. Your browser settings allow you to control and delete cookies at any time.

Data Security

Our site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts data transmitted between your browser and our server. Since we collect minimal data and store user preferences only in your browser's local storage, there is very little data at risk. We do not store personal information on our servers.

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
